Belt Sanders - Floor Sander Hire - Hummel Sanders - Sand Flooring - Sanding A Floor
Winchester - Southampton - Basingstoke - Petersfield - Hampshire - Dorset

Why Choose A Continuous Belt Sander?

We only hire the top of the range continuous belt sanders. The Hummel, as pictured above, comes with a large capacity dust bag, which eradicates the need for continual emptying. The bag is made from a fire retardant fabric, so it is very durable and will not tear, unlike paper bags causing dust explosions as you work.

Because of the easy to use clutch you will not leave gouge marks or unsightly dipping in the floor. The Hummel will strip your wooden flooring quickly and effectively leaving you with beautiful results.

What Other Companies Hire

Dust Bag - Unlike Winchester Hardwood Floor Sander Hire, other local tool hire companies can only offer you very basic and difficult to use Floor sanding equipment. What’s the difference you ask? The non commercial sanders have very low capacity dust bags, which can only be used once and then disposed of. This adds to the cost of the hire especially when doing large areas and continually changing the bag.

Sanding Sheet - Unlike the Hummel, basic hire machines use paper sheets and not continuous belts. The sanding sheet has to be lined up perfectly on the drum and is then held in place by a metal securing plate. This plate is held in place by two/three screws, which every time you change a sheet it has to be undone and then done up again and again making a simple paper change seem like a very long process.

Belt - If a belt is not tensioned correctly then within seconds of that belt change your new belt (which has just taken you five minutes to change) will be shredded and the process done all over again adding more time on the job and inconvenience to you.

Ease Of Operation - Unlike the easy to use Hummel, the traditional sander you will be offered will need to be operated in a completely different manner. There is no clutch leaver to gently release the drum down, as you are moving. Instead you will have to tilt the machine up and down when starting a pass and finishing at the end of the room. Even from my own experience and skill these machines are very difficult to use and will almost certainly leave your floor with gouge, dip and Chatter Marks, which tend to only show when you apply your finish at the end of the job. At this point it is too late, and you will just want to see the back of the dusty machine. You will accept the results an swear blind “I will never sand a floor again as long as I live.”

Your problems are resolved by hiring the Hummel, which is by far the easiest continuous belt-sanding machine on the market.
